On Tuesday, 8 Georgians were taken from us too soon. This includes 6 Asian women in multiple shootings of spas in a targeted attack.

This may have been shocking to some, but it’s a scene that has become all too familiar.

Asian American hate crimes have spiked by 150% in the last year alone.

You see, while Donald Trump fanned the flames with his rhetoric about Asian countries being responsible for Covid, his supporters listened. Now, we’re watching the consequences of this hatred play out before our very eyes.

It’s time to call it like we see it. This was a hate crime targeted at Asian American women.

We’ve seen leaders try to make excuses and try to rationalize this young white man’s actions. But there is no justification for this mass murder -- just hate.

It’s time for this grassroots community to come together and support the Asian American community in Atlanta during this extremely difficult time. Can we count on you to chip in to Asian Americans Advancing Justice in Atlanta today?
