Cynthia Lummis - Senator for Wyoming
Hello and a Cowboy State
welcome to my weekly newsletter! I'm excited to bring you the latest about
what my team and I are doing in Washington and throughout Wyoming to
represent you to the federal government. Each week we'll highlight
some of the actions we've taken, and the stories you might have missed,
along with any important opportunities that we want to make sure you
see. Thanks for reading!

*Women's History Month*
Wyoming was the first state to allow
women to vote, but we also were home to many other firsts for women,
including the first woman juror, the first woman governor, and the
first woman justice of the peace. All month long, I've been highlighting
these trailblazing women on my social media accounts. You can find
more information about them here [link 1].

*This week*, Wyoming got hit with a record-breaking
snowstorm. I80 and I25 were shut down for days and we're still digging out
across the state. In times like these, we get to see what Wyoming is
really made of - kind people and good neighbors. It was fun to see
stories of people like Ethan Healey [link 6] gearing up and transporting
medical staff to the hospital and our state legislators [link 7]
climbing in the rafters of the Capitol to fix a leak.
-
*I was
honored* to be invited to address the 66th Wyoming State Legislature on
Friday. I began my career in the Wyoming State House, and I'm proud of
the work our legislature does to make Wyoming a great place.
