John,
The tragedy we witnessed earlier this week in Atlanta was yet another devastating consequence of decades and centuries of unchecked white supremacy.
The hate speech from the former President and his allies doesn’t just exist in a vacuum. Their race-baiting dog whistles have tragic repercussions.
In 2020, national hate crimes against Asian Americans increased by a stunning 150% — even as the number of overall hate crimes fell.
Whether it be in a Black church in South Carolina, a grocery store in El Paso, or a massage parlor in Atlanta white supremacy and domestic terrorism is a
threat to every American.
Amplify Action recognizes our strength comes not from who we are or where we are from, but from solidarity.
That is why today and everyday Amplify Action stands in solidarity with Asian Americans, the AAPI community, and all people of color.
In solidarity,
--Brandon & Ra Shád
