Last week, Congress passed and President Biden signed the American Rescue Act, a $1.9 trillion bill providing millions of Americans important relief from this awful pandemic.
 



 


This relief will not reverse what many people have endured the last 12 months, but I am hopeful that it will help provide necessary support for families and struggling Americans.

While this legislation was vital for our country and had overwhelming support from the American people, our Republican colleagues were unified in voting against it.


Supporting Americans during a crisis should not be a Democrat or a Republican issue. I’ll continue to make sure that I support common-sense legislation that supports the American people and helps us recover from this awful pandemic.
