You can help.

Dear Friend,

Unaccompanied migrant children come to the United States seeking refuge from extreme violence, desperate poverty, and unspeakable fear. They arrive exhausted and traumatized, yet holding on to hope for a new life.

But as they quickly learn, they need an attorney to guide them through the complex and confusing U.S. legal system.

In immigration court, having an attorney matters. One study found that 73% of child migrants with legal representation were allowed to stay in the U.S., while only 15% of those without representation were allowed to stay.

USCRI's legal team provides life-changing assistance to children who have come to the U.S. in search of safety and peace. We believe that children should not be forced to stand alone before a judge, terrified and with little understanding of what is happening.

YOU can make sure that every child has an advocate by their side in court. Please make a generous gift today. Our legal program is funded by donations from the public and we can’t do it without you.

Please make your secure, online gift today at www.refugees.org/donate ([link removed]) -legal ([link removed]) and make sure no child stands in front of a judge alone. The need is urgent.

With gratitude,

Hila Moss
Managing Attorney, USCRI

"This work is so important because these children arrive in our country seeking safety and security. They are often placed in rural areas without access to legal help. Without our organization, they would likely never get a chance to succeed in the United States."

- Paul Sloderbeck, USCRI Staff Attorney
