Hi — California is one of the most ecologically and geographically diverse places in our country. From coastal beaches, to expansive desserts, to redwood forests, and everything in between.
Our state is also one of the hardest hit by the effects of climate change.
Heat waves are more extreme, droughts have become prolonged, and devastating wildfires that threaten our homes and our diverse wildlife have become more frequent.
These changes in our climate will only get worse if we don’t take action. In fact, they’ll become even more frequent and more extreme.
California is already leading the way on climate action and serving as a model for the rest of the nation. Our state was one of the first to commit to a clean energy economy and to limit greenhouse gas emissions. But there is so much more we can do. What climate policies do you think California should pursue to protect our environment and curb the effects of climate change? Answer our survey questions now →
