As the son of an immigrant single mother, I was against all odds to become a United States Congressman.

I slept on the floor until I went to college. My sisters and I had to rely on the free lunch program to make sure we ate.

I owe everything to my mom who gave all she had to make sure her kids got an education and an opportunity to succeed.

I attended Harvard University on scholarship, served my country as a United States Marine, and am now a proud Congressman.
