. Take action! Send message of support (or disappointment) on Hi John,
Did you hear the great news?
Congresswoman Deb Haaland was confirmed this week as Secretary of the Interior! The significance of this confirmation – an Indigenous woman leading the critical work of managing our shared public lands – is long overdue, but its importance cannot be overstated.
Tell Sen. Baldwin thank you or tell Sen. Johnson he failed yet again, here.
Secretary Haaland will implement a bold agenda based on science, equity, and environmental justice. She will prioritize access to nature, tribal consultation, and responsible management of our public lands and resources for all people in this country.
In Wisconsin, Secretary Haaland’s nomination serves as a national example of leadership for Indigenous communities and people and puts an ally in the Cabinet with values that reflect those of Wisconsin Conservation Voters. We’re excited to work with Secretary Haaland and the Department of the Interior to protect our lands and make their stewardship more equitable and inclusive.
Tell Sen. Baldwin you support her or tell Sen. Johnson he made another mistake.
Again, you came through with direct action. Wisconsin Conservation Voters members and supporters sent nearly 1,000 messages to their senators, and conservation voters from across the country did the same. The result: thousands upon thousands of messages in support of Secretary Haaland’s nomination and confirmation. Thank you for your action!
Don’t forget to follow up here with your Senator.
Thanks for being a conservation voter, Seth Hoffmeister Organizing and Political Director Wisconsin Conservation Voters |
