Because of Catherine’s work at the DSCC, the new Democratic Senate Majority was able to pass a massive and overwhelmingly popular COVID-19 relief bill that puts money directly in the pockets’ of Americans, extends unemployment insurance, and ensures no one loses their home or goes hungry during the pandemic.
If we lose the Senate Majority, we lose our ability to continue making progress on these important issues. And if we lose Catherine’s leadership in the Senate, we’ll lose a champion for Nevadans and Americans across the country. Right now the Senate is split 50-50. Washington Republicans only need one seat to take back the Majority, and political experts are calling Catherine’s race an “obvious GOP target” for 2022.
In fact, the National Republican Senatorial Committee has already launched an attack ad against Catherine, and a super PAC with connections to Mitch McConnell is raising money for their efforts to take back the Senate in 2022.
In 2016, outside groups spent $50 million in an effort to defeat Catherine. She’ll need strong grassroots support to defend this critical blue seat so we can protect the Senate Majority.
