Wildfire season is approaching here in Arizona. And with it comes a grave reminder of what is at stake if we fail to act to prevent climate change.
It’s crucial that we take action to mitigate the devastating effects of climate change before it’s too late. As a member of the House Energy and Commerce Committee and the Bipartisan Wildfire Caucus, I’m proud to work to protect our precious environment and safeguard our public lands.
Climate change poses a serious threat. It also represents an opportunity to invest in our infrastructure and our workforce. I’m leading the charge to make sure Arizona workers are supported as they transition to jobs in renewable energy.
That’s why I introduced the EASE Act and the Tribal Power Act, both of which became law last year. Rural communities like ours must be represented in the fight against climate change. As long as I’m in Congress, Arizona will always have a seat at the table.
