We're lucky to have so many fierce advocates for women in the Senate right now -- and Senator Tammy Duckworth is among them.
In her first term, Senator Duckworth blazed a trail for women in politics. She even dared challenge the old boys' club nature of the Senate by passing a bill allowing Senators to bring their babies -- like her newborn -- to the Senate floor.
But being a powerful woman often draws sexist attacks. Senator Duckworth quickly became a prime target of the far right, including Tucker Carlson, who has repeatedly insulted the Senator on his show and called her a “moron.”
So we've got good news and bad news. The GOOD news is that Senator Duckworth just filed for re-election to continue her work in the Senate! The BAD news is that she's become a major target for the right, and she needs our support.
