Senate Republicans cannot help themselves.

The leader of the Republican caucus, Senator Mitch McConnell, didn't vote to convict Trump during his impeachment trial -- even though he said Trump was "practically and morally responsible" for the insurrection.

Even when the American people, including millions of Republicans, have shown bipartisan support for COVID relief, Senate Republicans remained opposed. Senator McConnell made sure that every Republican senator in his caucus opposed the COVID-19 relief bill.

And this past week, Senator McConnell even threatened Democrats with "scorched earth" if we make any changes to procedural rules in the Senate.

With Democrats in the majority by a single vote, we must make sure to keep Senate Republicans and Mitch McConnell in the minority. We cannot afford to lose a single seat next year. In fact, we must gain seats to strengthen and expand the Democratic Senate majority.
