We wanted
to send you a big update about Pramila’s Medicare for All legislation. It
officially has a bill number: H.R. 1976!
Getting a bill number is an important step in Congress. One reason it’s so
important is it allows the public to easily access the legislation, track
its progress, and see who is on board as a co-sponsor.
[ [link removed] ]To mark this important moment for H.R. 1976, can you fuel our fight to
transform America’s broken, for-profit health care system with a donation
of $19.76 today? Join us in making it clear that it’s time for Medicare
for All.

On Wednesday, Pramila introduced this landmark legislation alongside more
than half of the House Democratic Caucus and a powerful grassroots
movement. We even had NEW co-sponsors including a key committee chair.
This critical progress will help us secure additional Congressional
hearings for Medicare for All.
We all know that the fight to pass this bill will be tough. We’re up
against Big Pharma, for-profit hospitals, and private health insurance
companies. But as a longtime organizer, Pramila isn’t new to tough fights.
And we know that a majority of Americans across the political spectrum
support Medicare for All. It’s the humane, transformative solution to a
broken, for-profit health system that leaves far too many people uninsured
and sticks folks with huge bills and a lifetime of medical debt — even as
they cut pills in half and make impossible decisions between paying for
their rent or their care.
[ [link removed] ]We’re relying on you to fuel our organizing around Medicare for All.
Can you support this movement with a $19.76 donation today (to mark the
bill number for M4A and to push for guaranteed health care for every
single person in this country)?
In solidarity,
Team Jayapal
