Nobody is safe from being "canceled". A recent essay proclaimed that Generation X was the only group that could stop it. (Proud Gen X , Duran Duran fangirl, Nirvana-loving, Breakfast Club binge-watching latch-key kid right here!)
But...if Gen X wants to stop cancel culture, they need to discover what is driving it. To do that, they need to stop listening to Twisted Sister and start reading Karl Marx.
Cancel culture is a very real threat and not something most of us have considered prepping for. But the fact that an unpopular opinion, who you voted for, or a Facebook status you posted 10 years ago could cause you to lose your livelihood and have you shunned is pretty damned alarming and something many of us should consider as a potential threat. I know that I do.
