Jack,

In 2018, Lauren Underwood defeated a four-term Republican House member and became the youngest Black woman to serve in Congress.

In 2020, she narrowly won re-election in Illinois’s 14th Congressional District—a victory so close that her GOP opponent initiated a costly recount and continues to contest the results to this very day.

And now, the National Republican Congressional Committee just listed Lauren’s seat as a top target for the 2022 election.

Off the Sidelines was among the first groups to back Lauren’s underdog campaign in 2018. Now, we’re doubling down on that support, asking you to make a critical, EARLY gift to her must-win re-election campaign. Here's why:

A registered nurse and public health expert, Lauren has quickly earned a reputation as a tireless, effective and bipartisan lawmaker. She’s used her platform to advance voting rights, make health care more affordable, and prioritize Black maternal health.

But with control of the House at stake, Republicans are dead-set on retaking Lauren’s district—and Lauren needs our help to build a strong foundation for her re-election campaign now.

Please. Rush a donation to re-elect Lauren Underwood and elect fearless, progressive leaders like her across the country.

Lauren Underwood is—without a doubt—the future of the Democratic party. Thank you for stepping up for her now.

-Stefanie
