Yesterday, the Michigan Senate adopted SR 30 <[link removed]>, my resolution condemning anti-Asian hate crimes and discrimination, encouraging community members to report these incidents, and calling on all Michiganders to do our part to stop the hate.



Here is a link to the video of my speech in the Senate. <[link removed]> There have been 3,795 reports of hate incidents across the country since last March, including 25 incidents in Michigan. These senseless acts of violence, discrimination, & harassment are driven by hate & white supremacy — they must stop. 



To my fellow Asian American/Pacific Islander community members, I see you. I know there is so much fear & pain right now. And I know this week has been exhausting. 



It is critical that we report hate crimes & discrimination, to ensure that perpetrators are held accountable & to fully address the issue.
