The Role
This is an exciting and varied role working as a Claims Officer within?a busy, small and friendly?in house claims handling team.??Daily activities include working together?as part of the claims team to deliver a first class claims handling service, dealing with claims made by and against the Council, Nottingham City Homes and wholly owned companies. The main claims you will handle are public liability and motor property damage claims with some low?value Highways and Occupiers Liability personal injury claims. You will have your own caseload of claims to handle?from inception to closure.?

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:?

  • Knowledge and technical experience of motor and public liability claims handling processes.
  • Knowledge and technical experience of assessing liability, assessing quantum, negotiating claims settlements and repudiating claims.
  • Ability to understand and effectively?communicate difficult messages to challenging citizens.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a?team and have a willingness to assist and support when required.
