Join us for Twin Cities DSA's March general meeting!
We meet regularly to talk about what's happening in the chapter, democratically decide on what we want to work on, and smash capitalism.
Here's what we're planning:
- Political education! We'll discuss the ongoing trial of George Floyd's killer, Derek Chauvin, starting with our co-chairs' statement on the trial. Then we'll have breakout discussions to hear about some of the active campaigns in our chapter, including:
- The successful campaign to get union busters off of the University of Minnesota's Board of Regents
- HENS & MURC, campaigns to implement rent control in St. Paul and Minneapolis, respectively
- Our 2021 endorsement process, which is currently underway
- The Chauvin trial
- Yes 4 Minneapolis, a campaign to replace the violent and corrupt Minneapolis Police Department
- Rent control resolution! Our comrades in St Paul will present a proposal to support HENS, a St Paul BIPOC-led coalition of community organizations and groups organizing for rent stabilization -- a key step in the fight for housing justice. See the proposal passed at the recent St Paul meeting here. Members will present a resolution for chapter-wide consideration.
- Updates from chapter officers, announcements, and more!
Our next meeting is Sunday, March 28, from 1:00 – 2:30pm.
