I hope this note finds you and your loved ones well despite these challenging times.

I wanted to take a moment and introduce Strong Future Maryland, the progressive organization I launched to advance bold policy changes that will help the state recover from the COVID-19 pandemic in a more equitable and just way. Our goal is to address systemic inequality, dismantle racial injustice, and promote a sustainable and prosperous economic future for all Marylanders.

The reality is that the challenges we face cannot be met in a single legislative session or by a single elected official, but instead require a movement that includes more Marylanders at the table to make real change. My life experiences and my career have made me acutely aware of the urgent need to address these challenges in Maryland to ensure a bright future for my daughters and young people throughout the state.

Strong Future Maryland is being led by staff, a Board, and an Advisory Council of Marylanders from across the state and from all walks of life who are ready to help expand opportunity. 

We hope you’ll join us. Together, we can create the better future we all deserve.
