For the first time in Emerge history, there are more than 1,000 Emerge alums currently serving in elected office throughout the country!
This comes after several historic election years in which an unprecedented number of graduates ran for office and won. Emerge’s alums are elected at every level of office from school board to city council, state legislature and Congress, and even at the Executive Branch. Just this week, Emerge New Mexico alum Deb Haaland was confirmed as Secretary of the Interior, making her the first Native American Cabinet member in U.S. history!

Including Secretary Haaland, we currently have 99 Emerge New Mexico alumnae serving in public office. And we have trained nearly 400 women throughout New Mexico. These women are leaders in their communities and we’re so proud to call them Emerge New Mexico alums.
We are on a mission to recruit and train the next 400 Emerge New Mexico alums who will run for office and win. And with your support, we can continue to make our numbers grow as Emerge women take this state by storm.
