Senate Republicans are vowing to do whatever it takes to kill the For the People Act.
Lindsey Graham is already promising to “talk until I [fall over]” in order to stop the largest expansion of voting rights since the 1965 Civil Rights Act.
That’s why it’s such a major development that President Biden has come out in favor of changing the rules of the filibuster!
The For the People Act is our best chance to:
- End partisan gerrymandering
- Protect access to the ballot box
- Get big money out of politics
- Stop the 240+ bills from GOP state legislators aimed at suppressing the right to vote
That’s why Republicans are so focused on filibustering this bill. We can’t let them abuse the rules of the Senate to attack our democracy.
