After doing a great of research and preparing for legal action, yesterday was a big day for our Defend America movement.
First, 20 of my attorneys general colleagues and I filed a lawsuit to STOP PRESIDENT BIDEN'S order to SHUT DOWN the KEYSTONE PIPELINE. This decision — recklessly advanced on the first day of Biden’s presidency — will cost America many thousands of jobs.
We can’t let it stand.
Our second piece of big news relates to our efforts to OPPOSE the Pelosi/Biden federal tax mandate which unconstitutionally seeks to BLOCK STATES from CUTTING TAXES over the next few years.
Our system of government simply doesn’t allow the federal government to coerce a state into forfeiting one of its core constitutional functions (the power to tax or not tax) in exchange for a large check from the federal government.
My Office is currently drafting a complaint to obtain a court order that the Pelosi/Biden tax provision is unenforceable. We have given the Biden Treasury Department until next week to respond or we will see them in court.
The one-party rule we are seeing right now in Washington, D.C. is dangerous to the economic vitality and national security of our country.
