on the millions of Californians who are calling for his removal from

On the 2.1 million supporters
of the recall petition:

"Democrats, Independents, and Republicans
all across this great state of ours coming together to sign that recall
petition in record numbers have sent a very clear and compelling
message that it's time for a change of leadership at the top of
California."

On why he can win this race:

"I'm a proud Republican
who won in San Diego, a majority Democrat city. I know how to win in
big cities, we're going to take that same approach to California
because I talk in terms of common sense. When you do that, when you
talk about reducing homelessness, when you talk about keeping our
neighborhoods safe, when you talk about fostering a business climate
that will actually support and keep California jobs, that's what's
important to Californians."

On Newsom's false attacks on recall
supporters:

"The facts speak differently, obviously. This is
Democrats, Republicans, and Independents. These are families from
across California. These are small business owners who are tired of
being open and shut without being based on science. These are families
whose kids should be in the classroom learning but yet aren't in
California because the governor hasn't provided the leadership to open
public schools. That's who's signing this recall petition and that's
why not only is it going to qualify, it's going to be successful."
On safely reopening California:

"We can reopen safely and we've
proven that we can do it. Our restaurants, who months ago were doing
the right thing, in terms of their customers, all of the ways to keep
their employees and their customers safe, but our governor shut them
down again. That's what's been so frustrating for Californians, it's
not been based on science. That's why you're seeing so many
Californians say enough is enough."
