Today, we show solidarity with the Asian American and Pacific Islander community in Georgia and across the country.

Justice Democrats

John,

We stand in solidarity with the Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) community in Georgia and across the country. Like many of you, we are outraged and heartbroken by the horrific events from Tuesday — the murder of eight people, including at least six Asian women at three different spas in Atlanta. Our love and thoughts are with the families of the victims of this mass shooting.

There have been 3,800 anti-Asian incidents in the U.S. in the last year, almost all against women — a 150% increase from the year before. The rise in anti-Asian bigotry and violence can not be viewed as isolated incidents. White supremacy. Misogyny. Gun violence. All contributed to the deadly, targeted violence in Atlanta.

Asian Americans Advancing Justice — Atlanta created a relief fund where we can donate directly to help the victims of this horrific shooting and their families and the AAPI communities of Georgia impacted by the violence.

Join us today and contribute what you can to Asian Americans Advancing Justice’s fund helping AAPI folks most directly impacted by the violence and hatred of Tuesday’s killings. Your contributions can go a long way to help folks get the support and services they need.

Always, in solidarity,
