friend,

We are working hard to disrupt the Koch network throughout 2021! The threat of the Koch network and its impact on our climate and social and economic progress is more real than ever, offering us many opportunities to fight back. UnKoch My Campus is working with on-the-ground student activists and organizers to demand that institutions of higher education cut ties with Koch funded research centers.

From organizers at Sunrise GW calling for George Washington University to cut ties with the Regulatory Studies Center or publicly disclose information, to organizers at UnKoch GMU sending letters to the President, demanding they break ties with all Koch network donors, we are serious about kicking Koch --and his dark money-- off campus.

We know that developing on-the-ground organizers is key to UnKoch-ing campuses where dark money influence is most prominent and is tied to research centers that impact our nation. That’s why we are looking for Student Fellows to support organizing efforts to disrupt the Koch network in 2021.

We will train fellows to agitate and activate student-driven and community-supported power to achieve the removal of all Koch-funded research centers from institutions of education. We’ll do so by utilizing an anti-oppressive analysis, building relational power on and off campus, and investing in new leadership identification and development.

Two fellows will be chosen for this fellowship program nationally, as well as two fellows each in the following states: Arizona, Massachusetts, and Virginia. This is a fellowship position that requires 10 hours/month commitment.

Please share with your networks this amazing opportunity for students to gain new skills and support on-going campus efforts to break ties with Koch funded research centers and donor influence.

Applications are due by March 31st, 2021.

In Solidarity,

The UnKoch My Campus Team
