Yesterday, the U.S. House of Representatives passed a reauthorization of the Violence Against Women Act, which aims to strengthen protections for women from various forms of violence.
Earlier this year, the Wilson Center sat down with Senator Gillibrand (D-NY), Senator Ernst (R-IA) and Representative Fitzpatrick (R-PA) to discuss ways in which the U.S. congress can expand awareness, dialogue and policy action aimed at protecting women from violence.
