John -- on the heels of historic voter turnout in the last election, we’re seeing an onslaught of voter suppression legislation from Republicans in Georgia, Arizona, and Iowa.
Today, I’m proud to announce that I am joining Vote From Home as their National Chairperson to fight back and protect access to vote by mail. We’re organizing to stop terrible anti-voting legislation and working to expand vote by mail across the country. I want you on our team:
We had record turnout in 2020 thanks to vote by mail -- in the middle of a pandemic! It’s a convenient, unhackable way to vote. What more could we ask for?
Republicans know if they make it harder for people to vote, it will be easier for them to win elections. That’s the only reason they’re spending time and political capital to pass laws making it harder to vote by mail.
In my home state of Oregon, we have voted by mail for 22 years, and are so proud to now see that over 150 million Americans in 42 states were eligible to vote from home in 2020. But, Republicans want to roll back the clock and turn their back on a convenient, secure way to vote because they’re scared it will hurt them at the ballot box.
We have the power to stop the Republican attacks on vote by mail. Vote From Home is organizing in Georgia, Arizona, and Iowa -- key swing states that are in danger of losing access to the ballot box. With your grassroots support of $5 or $10, we’ll mobilize voters and stand up for our democracy.
I’ve personally seen the power of expanding access to vote by mail and I’m proud that my state is the gold standard for voting from home. Now I want to fight to make sure millions more Americans can vote from home too.
Thank you,
Kate Brown
National Chairperson
