John,
I wanted to make sure you saw Noah’s email. CREW’s work to reform our democracy and fight corruption remains as essential as ever—and your support today can help make sure that we can tackle this work with the urgency it needs. If you’re able, please consider donating now.
Whether you first started supporting CREW when we sued Donald Trump for violating the Emoluments Clauses of the Constitution, or when our Hatch Act complaints led to the Office of Government Ethics issuing an unprecedented recommendation that Kellyanne Conway be fired, or even if you’ve been supporting CREW for years before Trump was even in office—we hope we can count on your continued support. Corruption, transparency, ethics and conflicts of interest aren’t just buzzwords for CREW—we’ve been working on these issues for years, and we’ll be working on them for as long as it takes. If you’d like to help us stay in the fight, make a donation now.
Thank you,
Arielle Linsky Stogner

John,
This is a crucial time for our democracy.
Comprehensive, transformative democracy reform is on the horizon, in the form of the For the People Act. Former President Donald Trump is facing multiple criminal investigations. A new attorney general means an opportunity to restore integrity to the Department of Justice.
But we can’t make sure we seize these opportunities for accountability, transparency and a more equitable government if we don’t have the resources we need. If you’re able, please consider making a donation to support CREW’s work now.
Trump may no longer be in office, but there is still plenty of work to do. From closing the loopholes he exploited to calling out those who patronize his businesses and ally with him after he incited a violent insurrection to pursuing answers about the many abuses of the Trump administration—we’re working on all of it. There are significant obstacles to progress in every one of these areas, which is what makes the work so hard, and so important.
Just in the last few weeks, CREW’s work has helped get an important amendment included in the For the People Act that would increase the amount of time the FEC and DOJ have to go after campaign finance violations. We’ve uncovered documents from the DHS Federal Protective Services that expose how they downplayed the potential for violence ahead of the January 6th insurrection. We’ve begun investigating former Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin’s new investment fund and whether he may have been laying the groundwork for it while serving in office. We obtained a GOP Senate memo from last summer that says the Postmaster General Louis DeJoy personally authorized overtime cuts—which contradicts his previous testimony before Congress.
And that’s only scratching the surface of what we’ve been up to. If you support CREW’s work, and want it to continue, I hope you’ll consider making a donation today. We truly couldn’t do this work without supporters like you.
Thank you,
Noah Bookbinder
