John – it is estimated that approximately 10% of people with uteruses have endometriosis, yet there tends to be a lot of confusion surrounding it. It can be difficult to diagnose, and sometimes people have their concerns incorrectly written off as ‘bad period pains’.

That’s why to help break things down, we’ve put together some information about it for March’s Endometriosis Awareness Month – from causes and symptoms, to impact and treatment and more.

Endometriosis can have a distressing impact on a person’s physical and mental health, as well as causing complications with fertility.
