Join us for Bev Ditsie's film commemorating lesbian visibility at the UN

Dear John,

25+ years ago, lesbians from all over the world arrived at the UN 4th World Conference on Women in Beijing, China and embarked on the biggest lesbian visibility campaign in history. In 2020, during the global lockdown, filmmaker and activist Bev Palesa Ditsie went online to commemorate some of the activists from around the world who were behind this campaign, and created a film to mark the events.

Outright was present in Beijing, China, during that historic campaign, and we were thrilled to support the film immortalizing this historic occasion.

I'm writing to invite you to join us on March 25th at 12pm EST / 4pm GMT / 7pm EAT for a discussion with the filmmaker Bev Palesa Ditsie and a panel of lesbian activists who will remember and comment on the importance and impact.

The film will be available for viewing prior to the event between March 20th and 24th on www.lesbiansfreeeveryone.org. Check out the film teaser here

The panel will be moderated by Lady Phyll, British political activist, co-founder of UK Black Pride, and Executive Director of Kaleidoscope Trust.
