Dear John,
To protect climate progress, we need to protect our right to vote. Because when barriers to voting exist, concerns about our air, water and land are ignored in favor of big polluter interests.
Georgia, Iowa and other states across the country are starting to pass laws that make it harder for Americans to vote. But the For the People Act would help stop the assault on voting access. That’s why we’re asking you to raise your voice in support of S1, the For the People Act, a bill that will make voting safe, secure and accessible for all Americans.
The House protected our sacred right to vote, now we have to tell our Senators to fight for a stronger democracy — reach out today!
The For the People Act is a once-in-a-generation opportunity to pass meaningful reforms to our democracy, by modernizing our voting systems, bolstering election security and breaking down barriers that make it harder to vote.
By addressing issues like these, we’re able to ensure that every vote is counted and every voice is heard, giving power back to the people and our communities who face the biggest barriers and bear the brunt of the injustices -- many of whom live near Superfund sites or face severe environmental hazards such as air and water pollution.
We must all work to ensure that voting is safe and accessible in order to further the fight for a cleaner future. Only our collective voice will advance common sense legislation that helps to clean up our air and water while fighting for a healthier planet.
Take action today, and tell your Senators to support S.1, the For the People Act
Thank you for your continued leadership,
Wes Rogerson
