John,
Kansas remains one of 12 states to not adopt provisions of the Affordable Care Act. Our state will leave $450 million on the table by not expanding Medicaid. It is estimated that 165,000 Kansans could benefit greatly from the expansion of Medicaid but Republicans are once again acting solely in their own self interest. They continue to cast aside the needs of the people.
Medicaid expansion would add a boost to our economy and provide much needed aid to rural hospitals allowing more Kansans to have access to the help they need. Kansans deserve leaders who will stand up for their right to affordable and reliable healthcare.
