Together, let’s pass Medicare for All and ensure that every person is guaranteed quality healthcare regardless of their ability to pay.

Friend,
Today, in the U.S. House of Representatives, we introduced the Medicare for All Act of 2021.
For the last year, the pandemic has shone a spotlight on the racial disparities in our healthcare system with Black people, Latinx people, and Native Americans dying from COVID at at least twice the rate of white Americans.1 Our fight is more urgent than ever.
Right now, with half of the Democratic caucus co-sponsoring this bill, we have momentum in our fight to ensure healthcare is a human right. But there’s more work to do!
The time is now to push for policies that match the scale of the crises we face. Click here to tell Congress to support Medicare for All, so we can ensure everyone in America is guaranteed quality healthcare, regardless of their ability to pay.
Our current profit-motivated healthcare system incentivizes corporations to put their own bottom lines over the needs of individuals and families. But, the biggest threat to our democracy and our well-being isn’t just corporate greed—it’s the people in government who protect corporations rather than public health.
We need Democrats and Republicans alike to think bigger and strengthen our country’s health policies. This was urgent before the pandemic, but now we cannot deny this need.
Access to quality affordable healthcare is not a partisan issue. That’s why expanding Medicare has broad, bipartisan support among the public: Polling shows 70% of Americans support Medicare for All.2
Americans need this NOW because we cannot afford to continue with the unjust status quo.
Join me, my colleagues, and our national coalition of activists and allies in calling on Congress to support Medicare for All.
Like with many progressive causes, even though most Americans are on board, corporations have corrupted our democracy to block progress. That’s why passing this landmark bill will not be easy.
Thank you for working by my side in our fight for bold policies that uplift millions of people and families.
Always serving you,
Rashida
