I am excited to announce a few additions to our April 24th Obama Gala this year—Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham (NM) and Congressman Adam Schiff (CA);  these two leaders in our parties are champions of progressive causes and no strangers to Colorado. They will join U.S. Senators Cory Booker (NJ), Maggie Hassan (NJ) Jon Ossoff (GA) and Alex Padilla (CA) as members of the so-far announced line-up of speakers for the Obama Gala.

Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham is the first-ever Democratic Latina governor in the United States. As governor, Lujan Grisham has enacted progressive and groundbreaking policies and investments that have transformed New Mexico’s public education system, expanded the state’s economy to include more high-quality career opportunities and preserved New Mexico’s precious natural resources and environment.

Congressman Adam Schiff represents California's 28th District in Congress, and currently serves as the Chairman of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence. Over the last four years, Adam Schiff was on the front lines of the struggle to protect and preserve our democracy and uphold the rule of law. Schiff is the lead author of landmark reforms to prevent future abuses of executive power and build back our democracy better, the Protecting Our Democracy Act.

Both these speakers will add to what will be a fun night to celebrate our Blue Victories and help fund our Win Plan keep Colorado and America Blue in 2022.
