John,
Last week, Nancy Pelosi and House Democrats voted to increase the national debt by $1.9 trillion. The bill funnels $350 billion to bailout states, with huge chunks going to California, New York, Illinois and other poorly managed blue states. Even the New York Times says ([link removed]) the $350 billion (more than $1,000 for every American citizen) is unnecessary.
This Democrat spending spree is the most radical pork barrel bill in history. At just the tip of the iceberg, it cuts taxpayer-provided checks to federal prisoners like the Boston Marathon bomber and directs cash and medical benefits to illegal aliens. The list goes on and on.
More than $1 trillion remains unspent from previous bipartisan efforts, yet, incredibly, Democrats are piling on more debt to pay off their political cronies.
This payoff to the left isn’t about addressing COVID - as only 9% is devoted to pressing health related needs - it’s about exploiting the pandemic for political purposes.
Speaker Pelosi is overplaying her hand. As Pelosi forces her members to cast awful votes for radical legislation, the public backlash will build and lead to a huge ballot box retribution in 2022. As long as we continue to fight for our conservative values and stand tall for America, I'm confident Republicans will Take Back The House and reinstate commonsense in the next Congress.
I will continue to deliver on my promise to serve in Congress as a conservative reinforcement and champion our principles of Peace Through Strength, free-enterprise capitalism, and defense of our constitutional rights, just to name a few.
Please help us lock down this congressional seat and do our part to return Republicans to the majority in 2022.
