Happy almost spring! ☀

Fellow Young Democrat,

March Madness isn't just what's happening in Indianapolis the next few weeks... It's officially been one year since the country closed down due to COVID-19 and we are all starting to go a little stir-crazy as we're locked away inside. On a positive note, our country has real leadership in the White House and the Biden Administration will have administered 100 million shots in just 60 short days, beating their 100 day target by over a month. We see a light at the end of the tunnel, but everyone on the newsletter is keeping their foot to the pedal, staying safe and helping to tamper down community spread.

Our country continues to have work to do to slow the spread of the virus, to fight against racist and sexist policies, and to empower Black and Brown Hoosiers and women. That's what our party believes in, that's what Young Democrats beleve in. You know the drill: each month we meet to discuss the issues facing our state and our country, introduce you to some of the coolest individuals in the state, and enjoy each other's company! As we
look ahead towards the future of Indiana Democratic politics, we hope you'll join us for our Monthly Meeting TONIGHT at 6 pm ([link removed]) . Click below to receive the Zoom link for this meeting and all of our meetings through this June, we really hope you'll join us for a fun night celebrating Women's History Month and enjoying the company of fellow Young Dems as we look towards the light at the end of the tunnel!

Monthly Executive Committee Meetings ([link removed]) are set through this June! Meetings are held every 3rd Wednesday of the month (pro-tip: that's today!). Our March Monthly Meeting will center some of the incredible women leading our state in our panel, Vanguard: Advancing the Women's Movement through Advocacy! These women leading in advocacy in Indiana will speak with us about the work that goes in to moving their mission, and our state, forward

During Women's History Month, we also launched the Indiana Young Democrats Women's Caucus ([link removed]) to empower and engage women in the democratic process through civic resources, education, advocacy, and activism in order to ensure all women's voices are heard and listened to. Join us tonight to hear more, and click the link above to sign-up to join the caucus!

We'll also discuss the Indiana Democratic Party's quadrennial re-organization which began earlier this month and concludes on Saturday! You definitely won't want to miss tonight's meeting, click below to receive the invitation for monthly meetings through June and join for tonight's monthly meeting! All meetings are open to the public and we hope to see you there.

** TRACK ONGOING LEGISLATION
------------------------------------------------------------
With the 2021 legislative session over halfway through, we as an organization must stand up against the GOP's harmful bills and push forward on legislation that helps all Hoosiers. Our legislative tracker gives you a link to the summary of what each bill entails and if we as an organization support or oppose it.

Keep an eye out for calls to action from our constituency caucuses and contact your representatives on the legislation that matters to you. This bill tracker is being continuously updated. Check back often for updates!
