Similarly, in Iowa the GOP plans to shorten the early voting period, close voting sites an hour earlier, ban county election officials from sending absentee ballot request forms unless requested and purge voter files after just one election.

In Georgia, the GOP’s bill would slash access to voting by mail, limiting it to only those age 65 and older or who have one of a handful of state-approved excuses.

Similarly, in Iowa the GOP plans to shorten the early voting period, close voting sites an hour earlier, ban county election officials from sending absentee ballot request forms unless requested and purge voter files after just one election.

Both of these bills are in response to alleged cheating and rigging -- something that even Republican officials admit is not true.
