The re-introduction of Medicare for All in the U.S. House is just one day
away. Tomorrow, Rep. Pramila Jayapal and Rep. Debbie Dingell will
re-introduce Medicare for All into Congress with a record number of
original cosponsors. Over half the Democratic caucus has already signed
onto the bill, but we need more.
To celebrate and chart out the plan ahead, we’re inviting you to a special
town hall live stream this Wednesday, March 17th, at 9 am PT / 12 pm ET.
You’ll hear directly from some of the bill’s cosponsors, as well as
nurses, patients, advocates, and organizational and union leaders –
including our very own Executive Director, Bonnie Castillo, RN.

Tomorrow also marks the one year anniversary of the day that Covid-19
cases were confirmed in all 50 states. We know that the trajectory of the
last year could have looked dramatically different if we had Medicare for
All.
Nurses could have had desperately needed personal protective equipment
(PPE); patients wouldn’t have been hit with surprise medical bills; and at
least 27 million people wouldn’t have been thrown off their
employer-sponsored health insurance.
The pandemic has made the urgent need for Medicare for All more clear than
ever before.

wide as possible. We’ll celebrate how far we’ve come, and get ready for
the next part of the fight.
See you tomorrow,
