There are a lot of groups out there who want to see us fail. In fact,
there are entire systems that work against us every single day.

Police departments and police unions want to see us fail because our
candidates will curb their militarized budgets and hold criminal cops
accountable.

The for-profit prison system wants to see us fail because we threaten
their ability to rake in obscene amounts of money off mass-incarceration.

And a whole lot of prosecutors and DA associations want to see us fail
because we jeopardize not only their control over elections, but one of
their main sources of campaign funding.

The simple truth is that when our endorsed candidates get into office,
they are able to transform the system in incredible ways. But in order to
do the hard, crucial work of electing these leaders, we need the resources
it takes to overcome all the dark money that Republicans and anti-reform
groups are spending.
