The American Rescue Plan passed last week includes $375 million in direct aid for New Orleans ([link removed]) from the federal government.

This act will also send about $3.4 billion to the Louisiana state government, which will help residents in New Orleans and across the state.

New Orleans has been hit harder than most cities because of the pandemic's devastating effects on the hospitality industry. That's why Mayor Cantrell fought hard to secure our share of the federal relief funding.
"New Orleans’ share of the federal funding, included in the relief package passed by Congress and signed by President Joe Biden, is among the largest in the country for a city its size and much larger than any other city or parish in Louisiana."
This is a giant leap towards getting our city's economy back on track.
