John, Since taking office, President Biden has taken some steps to reverse some of the harmful policies enacted by the previous administration, but there is so much more that needs to be done. For the past year, low-wage workers, immigrants, and Black, Latinx, Indigenous, AAPI, and LGBTQ communities have borne the brunt of the pandemic, on top of the systemic inequalities they already face. We know that abortion isn’t just a reproductive health issue— it’s an economic, racial, and immigrant justice issue as well. That’s why we’re calling on President Biden to take immediate, meaningful action to ensure people can access abortion care. John, can you send a postcard to President Biden to tell him to prioritize abortion justice? No one should be denied abortion coverage because of where they live, how much money they earn, or how they get their health insurance. Massive barriers to abortion care—like the Hyde Amendment and medically unnecessary restrictions on medication abortion care—only exacerbate systemic racism, economic insecurity, and immigration status. We’re joining our friends at All* Above All to demand abortion justice now. Thanks for all you do, ANDREA MILLER President Purpose. Power. Progress. |
