On the outskirts of Lusaka, Zambia, Jacob and his classmates line up to receive what is often their first or only meal for the day. Jacob signals his hunger level to a caregiver, who supplies a nutritious Rise Against Hunger meal according to his needs. 

Changes in Jacob’s demeanor are noticeable. Teachers and volunteers witness newfound joy, commitment and confidence. But Jacob’s community is changing, too. School attendance is growing. Parents support and encourage education for their children. Students look forward to school and foster dreams of supporting their families.
