The American Rescue Plan is already making a difference in people’s lives as stimulus funds appear in bank accounts and mailboxes. But the bill passed by Congress and signed into law by President Biden is so much more than just checks. Thanks to the incredible work of AFSCME members like you, the American Rescue Plan includes $360 billion in flexible funds for states, cities, towns and schools.

Don’t underestimate what this plan means for America’s front-line workers. With the funds AFSCME members helped secure by reaching out to members of Congress more than 100,000 times, we are not only able to rebuild our communities, but we are preventing furloughs and layoffs that could have cost us our careers in public service.
