New Global Chocolate Scorecard

Friend,

Wondering how the largest chocolate companies stack up? Check out our new chocolate scorecard!

Green America teamed up with Mighty Earth, Be Slavery Free, INKOTA, and National Wildlife Federation, surveyed the world's biggest chocolate companies, and updated our global chocolate scorecard.

We looked at the most pressing issues facing the chocolate industry, like child labor, deforestation and climate change, and if farmers are being paid a living income.

Spoiler: the biggest chocolate companies still have A LOT of work to do.

Some of Green America's Green Business Members came out on top! Alter Eco and Tony's Chocolonely were both awarded the Good Egg award.

After twenty years of broken promises and over 1 million child laborers still working in cocoa, big chocolate companies have a lot of room for improvement.

But with your support, we are seeing some progress. Both Hershey and Godiva have made progress thanks to consumer pressure, but they are far from leaders, so please take action today!

We hope this new scorecard helps you the next time you buy chocolate.

Thank you for all that you do,

Charlotte Tate
Labor Justice Campaigns Director

P.S. Your support means we can do even more to combat child labor and protect the future for people and the planet. Please contribute today.
