Connie Lawson has done so much good for our state and Hoosiers have been lucky to have her in public life. Since taking office as Secretary of State in 2012, she has dutifully served our state, helping Indiana become a national role model in running safe and secure elections.
Now that Holli Sullivan has been sworn in as Indiana’s new Secretary of State, we’d like to take a moment to wish Connie well and officially thank her for her service to Indiana. We’re putting together a statewide “Thank You” card for her, and we’re going to send her the list of everyone who’s signed it tomorrow morning. Will you please join me in giving her your best well-wishes?
Connie Lawson retired as the longest serving Secretary of State in Indiana history! Thanks to her dutiful work during the unprecedented 2020 elections, Hoosiers were able to confidently, and safely, make their voices heard in our election.
She is leaving big shoes to fill in the statehouse – but we’re sure her contributions to our state won’t be stopping any time soon.
