Our party shares many of the values that our rural communities hold dear, like caring for one’s neighbor, fair pay for hard work, equal opportunity and honesty. However, we still have work to do in having a deeper connection with these communities, who cast more than 30% of the votes in Montana during the 2020 election.
This year, one of our primary focuses is to do a listening tour in our rural communities to learn how to better message our Democratic values and better advocate for the issues facing rural Montanans.
But we can’t do that without your help. Can you help kick off our Rural Program by helping us raise $3,000 to fund the travel and research necessary to do this outreach?

We know that for Democrats to win in 2021 and 2022, we need to effectively communicate with rural voters. Without improving our margins in these communities, there is no pathway to victory for Democrats in Big Sky country.
Democrats are ready to advocate for the needs of our rural communities, from fighting for more jobs to creating conditions that favor Mom and Pop shops over corporations, and address housing needs, high-speed internet access and reliable cell phone service. Now, we need to start the work of organizing in those communities so we can elect more rural Democrats to the Montana Legislature.
