On our borders and across our country, immigrants, refugees and asylum seekers are struggling. As individuals and families face dehumanizing mistreatment in their daily lives, draconian immigration policies add to their burdens. This week, Congress takes up the challenge of moving ahead on the American Dream and Promise Act, which represents the possibility of the first major overhaul of our immigration system in decades.
ADL is honored to welcome Lydia Guzman, LULAC’s National Immigration Chair, Clarissa Martinez de Castro, Deputy VP for Policy and Advocacy of Unidos US and Ali Noorani, President/CEO of the National Immigration Forum to join ADL VP of Government Relations, Advocacy and Community Engagement Max Sevillia and CEO Jonathan Greenblatt for an important conversation about immigration.
With an eye to the action on Capitol Hill this week, these experts will discuss the urgent need to strengthen the fight against xenophobia, racism and harmful immigration policy and legislation that all feed into systemic inequality and discrimination against immigrants, refugees and asylum seekers.
