I am working with a group of pro-family conservatives on an important campaign, and I thought you would like to join.

Over 35,000 have signed our petition supporting Owen Stevens, a Trump supporter and conservative student at the State University of New York (SUNY). He remains suspended from the university for his views.

In a post on Instagram, Stevens said that "a man is a man, a woman is a woman. A man is not a woman and a woman is not a man."

SUNY is demanding Stevens remove the post and attend a re-education course. If he does not, he could face severe penalties such as exposition. 

Should Stevens be expelled for his views? 

We are asking CitizenGOers to sign a petition in support of Owen Stevens. Over 35,000 have already signed.

SUNY released this statement about the suspension:

"Stevens' videos call into question his ability to maintain a classroom environment that protects the mental and emotional well-being of all of his students (...) After reviewing all available materials, I found that, based on his continued public posturing and social media presence, he does not consistently demonstrate the behaviors required by the School of Education's Conceptual Framework."

Students pay hundreds of thousands of dollars for higher education. This is the stupidest reason SUNY wants to ruin this student's life?

This is where you come into play. I am working with a group of pro-family conservatives who are willing to use this petition to defend Owen Stevens. Trump supporters and conservatives do not deserve to be removed from college because of their views.

The university president himself has also weighed in to censure Stevens:

"Yesterday, I became aware of a current student's Instagram posts related to transgender individuals. I want to take this opportunity to publicly reaffirm my deep personal commitment to promoting social justice (...) There are clear legal limitations on what a public university can do in response to objectionable speech (...) As a result, there are few tools at our disposal to reduce the pain such speech can cause."

Stevens has not only received pressure from the university but also from his own peers:

"I have received threats and horrible incidents from students who feel they are making the world a better place by becoming the waking thought police (...) I want justice and for the right thing to be done."
