Last week, the House of Representatives passed universal checks again with bipartisan support.

We made history in 2019 when this bill initially passed—the first gun safety bill in over a decade. Now, we are making history again because we have the best chance we’ve ever had at signing background checks into law.

But make no mistake about it, we’re only halfway home. The Senate is next and we need the resources to pressure them to hold a debate and vote on this bill. So once again, we’re reaching out to ask:

This is a historic moment for our movement.

But when lives are at stake, timing is everything. Last time universal background checks passed in the House, Mitch McConnell bowed to his NRA allies and let the legislation sit on his desk untouched for almost two years.
