Let me explain: A right-wing outside group recently launched a misleading ad campaign targeting swing House districts, including NJ-11. 

Washington Republicans are starting up their attacks against Mikie earlier than ever, and now, outside groups are wading into our race, too.

The first FEC deadline of the year is a little over two weeks away, and right now, we’re behind where we need to be to reach our goal in time.

Our race is already heating up:

• A Republican opponent has entered our race to challenge Mikie.
• The NRCC identified Mikie as one of 10 House Democrats on its Redistricting Watch list.
• The DCCC included Mikie as one of 32 House Democrats in its Frontline protection program.

The FEC deadline will be a crucial turning point for a race as competitive as ours.

It’s the first time our numbers will go public since Mikie entered her second term in Congress, and Washington Republicans, our opponents, and outside groups will be looking to size up our re-election campaign and their chances at turning NJ-11 red.

Washington Republicans only need five seats to take back the House majority, and they think they can make NJ-11 one of them.
